In our group we have Noah, Gus and Aden. In these past few weeks we have done the following:
We have built the robot.
Explored Robot Educator .
We did the Pedestrian Challange.
The Robot learnt how to do a 360 degree turn.
The Robot learnt how to do the Snake.
The Robot learnt how to do the Shimmy
The Robot learnt how to follow a square.
The Robot learnt a dance to the song Hey Ya

Today, Gus was the recorder, Aden was the computer/programmer and Noah was the handler. Today we had to do the shimmy and 2D shape. The shimmy was extremely hard until the year six's came and saved the day. Next we did the 2D shape, and our 2D shape was a square. We used a loop and then we used degrees and then we used 170 degrees.

Today we worked on our dance. We also picked our music which is Hey Ya. I'm the recorder (Aden) Programmer Gus and Noah Handler I hope our dance gets off to a good start it looks good so far. We put the snake, shape possibly working out how to put the figure 8 into the dance.Aden

We are doing the song Hey Ya by Outkast. We have been told to make dance moves to the first 10 seconds of the dance. Easier said than done. 10 seconds is a long time for a dance especially when you have a ROBOT that never co-operates with you, if we tell the robot to do a shimmy then the robot does a shimmy but it takes too long and goes out of beat.

I put in a HELLO sound for the start of the dance. I also put in a forward-back to-fro movement. Some other dances are
long, but ours goes for 24 seconds. This is alright for me because Richies' movements are perfect for Hey Ya. There was a big cuffufle and we lost Gus for some precious minutes while teachers sorted it out. This is why I hope we can speed up later.
